History

On 14 October 1944 USS Houston (ii) was severely damaged by torpedoes during a Japanese air raid off Formosa.
The ship was hit yet again 2 days later and was nearly lost.
Decommissioned 15 December 1947.
Stricken 1 March 1959.
Sold to be broken up for scrap.
