Baltic fleet

Hit a mine and sunk some 33 nautical miles north-east of Tallinn, Estonia in position 59°48N, 25°32E at 2011 hours on 28 August 1941. S-5 left Reval bound for Kronstadt. Only 9 crewmen survived.
