USS Conner was placed into reserve at Philadelphia 4 October 1919
Transferred to Norfolk she was berthed there in reserve until May 1921
Recommissioned for fleet exercises with reduced complement and lay as reserve at Charleston from 13 October 1921 until 29 March 1922 when she was transferred to Philadelphia, where again placed in the reserve fleet and decommissioned on 21 June 1922.
Recommissioned 23 August 1940.
Decommissioned and handed over to Great Britain 23 October 1940 being renamed HMS Leeds
Stricken 8 January 1941.
