Table includes 2 boats finished after the Armistice (11 Nov 1918)

These boats had excellent seagoing abilities and handled very well. Many arrangements on these boats were also seen on the WWII type IX boats when their design work took place 20 years later.

The boats had various arrangements of deck guns. Some had only one 8.8cm/30 gun while others had a single 10.5cm/45 gun - but some had both originally. In 1917 some of the boats were refitted with a single 105mm gun (220 rounds).
